‘Saturday can’t come soon enough’: Sutton-on-Sea set to share £12.3 million postcode prize
Hundreds of neighbours in Sutton-on-Sea are set for a major cash boost after the seaside village was announced as the winner of a £12.3 million People’s Postcode Lottery prize.
Players in the postcode area LN12 2 will share the bumper jackpot this Saturday, with winners due to discover exactly how much they have scooped at a special celebration event.
The two-hour event will take place at King George V Playing Fields, home of Sutton Rovers Football Club, where prize envelopes will be handed out to lucky ticket holders.
Organisers say players can expect to receive at least £2,000, with the biggest prizes going to those whose full postcode matches the winning code revealed on the day.

Invitations to winners are due to be sent out from Tuesday, April 21.
Postcode Lottery ambassadors Matt Johnson, Judie McCourt and Danyl Johnson are set to attend the event and celebrate with residents.
Matt Johnson said: “I’m thrilled to be heading to the seaside again to celebrate a multi-million-pound Postcode Lottery prize.
“It’s set to be a fabulous day for hundreds of neighbours, and the excitement is really building. Saturday can’t come soon enough!”
The huge prize is expected to create a real buzz across Sutton-on-Sea, with many residents now wondering whether their postcode could be among the big winners.
As well as handing out prizes, People’s Postcode Lottery says players have helped raise more than £1.7 billion for charities through ticket sales.
Among organisations to benefit is Young Lives vs Cancer, while Lincoln-based charity Acts Trust has also previously received funding to support local community projects.
The full winning postcode and final prize amounts will be revealed at Saturday’s event.
