Super5 Jackpot Won In Friday’s Draw: Second Largest Single Winner With National Lottery

As with all National Lottery games in Malta, the winnings are completely tax free, allowing the winner to enjoy the full value of the prize.

The winning Super5 combination saw numbers 10, 11, 12, 15 and 18 drawn, proving to be the lucky sequence for a single ticket that was purchased from a National Lottery shop in St.Julian’s. 

The winner, a foreign national residing in Malta, is a regular Super5 player who likes to play combination bets when jackpots are relatively high. When claiming his winnings he interestingly explained that he carefully selects his numbers, usually aiming for a mix of combinations. This time his chosen combination of 11 selected numbers proved life changing.

On Friday evening, the winner was at home with his friends watching the draw when he realised that his ticket was a winning ticket. His friends quickly recognised that the the winning combination had delivered a prize of just over €1.4 million and erupted in excitement, celebrating the incredible win together.

Beyond the celebration, the winner has shared that part of the prize will go towards a meaningful personal project helping build a cat shelter, reflecting his compassion for animals.
