Mystery EuroMillions winner could miss out on life-changing prize as crucial deadline looms

A EuroMillions ticket holder is at risk of losing out on a substantial prize of £112,091, with fewer than 30 days remaining to come forward.

The winning ticket was bought in Powys for the draw held on December 12, 2025.

The deadline to collect the winnings falls on June 10, 2026.

Allwyn, which operates the National Lottery, has issued an urgent plea for players to rummage through their belongings and verify any tickets they may have purchased.

The fortunate ticket matched five main numbers and a single Lucky Star in that December draw.

Andy Carter, senior winners’ advisor at Allwyn, said: “With time running out, we’re asking anyone who was in Powys in the days leading up to the 12 December draw to stop and think – did you buy a EuroMillions ticket?

“Whether you live locally, were visiting family or just passing through, please check any places you might have stored your pink ticket.

“We’ve seen major prizes claimed right up to the last minute, but the clock is ticking for this winner.”

A statement from Allwyn added: “Playing any National Lottery game is more than just a chance to win; it’s a way to contribute to something much bigger.

“Each week, players help generate around £33million for National Lottery-funded projects.

“With over £53billion raised for Good Causes since launch, this funds hundreds of projects in every postcode area across the UK.”

The appeal extends to visitors and those passing through the Welsh county, not just local residents, as the purchaser’s identity remains completely unknown.

Should the prize remain unclaimed by the deadline, the £112,091 plus any accumulated interest will be redirected to support National Lottery-funded initiatives throughout the United Kingdom.

Lottery participants are given a 180-day window from the date of each draw to collect any winnings they may be owed.

Last week, a £1million EuroMillions Millionaire Maker winner missed out after failing to come forward before the deadline expired.

Allwyn, which operates the National Lottery, confirmed that no valid claim was submitted for the winning ticket purchased in the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole area for the draw held back in November, 2025.

The 180-day window for claiming the prize closed at midnight on May 3, meaning the ticket-holder has now permanently lost their chance to collect the seven-figure windfall.

The unclaimed funds, along with any accumulated interest, will be redirected to support National Lottery-funded projects.

In April, one winner came forward to claim a £1million Lotto prize with mere hours remaining before the deadline expired.

The fortunate ticket-holder successfully matched five main numbers, 17, 18, 31, 36, 39 and 51, along with the Bonus Ball of 29.
