The latest Powerball drawing was held on Monday night, August 10, with the estimated jackpot recorded at $929 million with a cash value of approximately $402.4 million. Monday’s winning numbers were 6-37-54-55-64, with a Powerball number of 10 and a Power Play multiplier of three.
No winners took him the jackpot following Monday’s drawing, while a lucky few took home $1 million and $2 million prizes in California, Maryland and Tennessee, respectively. The next drawing is slated for late Wednesday night, August 12, with that estimated jackpot inching closer to a whopping $1 billion mark.
Wednesday evening’s estimated jackpot is expected to reach $975 million, with an estimated cash value of $422.3 million, per the Texas Lottery. Here in Texas, two Lone Star residents took home $150,000 for cinching four of the five numbers alongside the Powerball and a Power Play. In total, there were more than 130,500 Texans who won a prize in the latest drawing, with amounts ranging between $4 and $150,000.
Those players who’ve thrown their hats in the ring have up to 180 days following the draw date to claim their ticket and prize, per the Texas Lottery. Winning tickets must be presented for payment and formally approved by the Texas Lottery’s requirements before being deemed valid.
