Winning LOTTO jackpot ticket sold in Tompkins County

TOMPKINS COUNTY, N.Y. (WBNG) — A New York Lottery jackpot-winning ticket was sold at the Speedway at 202 Main St. in the Town of Groton.
A lottery player won $9.8 million from Saturday night’s LOTTO drawing on May 2.
For the LOTTO game, six winning numbers plus one bonus number are drawn from a field of one to 59. A player must match the first six numbers to win.
To win the second prize, players must match five numbers plus the bonus number.
The LOTTO drawing is broadcast every Wednesday and Saturday at 8:15 p.m.
