White County Man Wins $50,000 Arkansas Lottery Prize After Buying Ticket in Searcy – Arkansas Radio

One lucky White County resident kicked off June with the biggest lottery win of his life after claiming a $50,000 prize from the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery.

Tracy V., a White County resident, won the $50,000 top prize playing $50,000 Stacked, a $20 instant scratch-off game. He claimed his winnings at the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery Claim Center in Little Rock on June 1.

According to lottery officials, Tracy was heading home from work when he stopped at Higginson Food Mart, located at 3631 AR 367 in Searcy. While inside the store, he noticed the $50,000 Stacked game for the first time and decided to give it a try.

“It was like a new ticket for me,” Tracy said.

An occasional lottery player, Tracy typically plays games such as Cash 4 and Millionaire for Life™, but the new scratch-off game caught his attention. After purchasing the ticket, he scratched it while still inside the store and quickly realized he had matched the $50,000 top prize.

“I got all excited,” Tracy said. “I’d never won that much before!”

Tracy immediately shared the news with his wife, who was just as surprised as he was. The couple later claimed the prize together.

Lottery officials say 47 top prizes worth $50,000 remain available in the $50,000 Stacked instant game.

Since 2009, the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery has generated more than $1.6 billion in scholarship funding for Arkansas students while awarding more than $5.8 billion in prizes to players statewide.
