Warwick man wins $500K lottery prize, $756K Wild Money jackpot unclaimed
RICHMOND, R.I. (WPRI) — A Warwick man won a $500,000 lottery prize playing the Ocean State Riches Instant Game.
In a press release Monday, the Rhode Island State Lottery revealed that the man bought the winning ticket at the Stop & Shop on Stilson Road in Richmond.
The lottery said the man visited the same store the day before to play Ocean State Riches, but walked away empty-handed. He was shocked when he won the next day.

“Initially, he thought he had won $50,000 at most,” the lottery said in the release. “He couldn’t believe it when the ticket revealed a $500,000 prize.”
The Rhode Island Lottery also shared that the second-largest Wild Money Jackpot ever was hit on June 4. The $756,020 winning ticket was sold by Dexter Warehouse Liquors on Barton Street in Pawtucket.
