Unclaimed $50,000 Powerball ticket out of Central Virginia set to expire
FOREST, Va. – The Virginia Lottery is asking residents to check if they have a winning $50,000 Powerball ticket, as it is set to expire soon.
The lottery said a Powerball Ticket won $50,000 in a Feb. 21 drawing earlier this year. No one has yet come forward as the winner. The ticket was bought at Quik-E Foods at 4380 Waterlick Road in Forest.
The winning numbers were 27-28-36-48-49 with a Powerball number of 21, and the ticket matched four of those numbers.
Winning tickets expire 180 days after the drawing in Virginia, so this winning ticket will expire at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 20. Unclaimed winnings go to the Virginia Literary Fund.
If you believe you have a winning ticket, contact the Virginia Lottery. You can find a list of customer service centers here.
