Two Winning Lottery Tickets Sold in Mountain Home – NEA Report
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — August kicked off on a high note for several Arkansas lottery players who won big prizes in Saturday’s LOTTO and Cash 4 drawings.
A winning LOTTO ticket worth $25,000 was sold at Casey’s General Store #3235, 859 Highway 62 E., in Mountain Home. The winning numbers were 7, 10, 11, 21, 30 and 32, and the Bonus Number was 40. This ticket is currently unclaimed, and the winner has 180 days from the draw date to claim their prize.
Eight additional LOTTO players won prizes greater than $500, including seven $1,500 winners. The winning tickets were sold in Little Rock, Pine Bluff, Eureka Springs, Quitman and Mayflower. In total, 3,187 winning tickets were purchased for the Aug. 1 drawing.
The LOTTO jackpot is $2.141 million for Wednesday night’s drawing.
Players across the state also won big playing Cash 4, with 32 winning tickets worth more than $500 sold for the Aug. 1 drawing. Winning tickets were purchased in North Little Rock, El Dorado, Newport, Pine Bluff, Jonesboro, Stuttgart, Forrest City, West Memphis, Sherwood, England, Nashville, Stephens, McGehee, Hot Springs, Bryant and Brinkley.
Thirteen Cash 4 players landed prizes greater than $2,000, including two $5,000 winners and one $8,100 winner.
Alongside Saturday’s $25,000 LOTTO ticket, a winning Xtreme Money ticket worth $300,000 was also sold in Mountain Home last month. The winner, Baxter County resident Algerdas K., claimed his prize at the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery Claim Center on July 30.
Algerdas purchased the winning ticket at 24 Hour Fuel, 403 Highway 62 E., in Mountain Home and scratched it off later that day. Although he had played the game since its launch, he never anticipated landing a $300,000 top prize.
“I had to check my ticket a couple of times to make sure,” the lucky winner told lottery officials.
The initial disbelief subsided only when Algerdas showed his wife the ticket and asked her to confirm the win. Of course, she was equally as stunned by the news.
“I couldn’t sleep the rest of the night,” she said.
So far, the couple has yet to make plans for the prize. However, they do intend to continue playing lottery games.
One $300,000 top prize remains on Xtreme Money.
