Mountain Home Lottery Hot Streak Continues; $25,000 ticket still unclaimed
Mountain Home continues to be a lucky spot for Arkansas Scholarship Lottery players, with one local resident claiming a $300,000 prize and another winning ticket worth $25,000 still waiting to be claimed.
Baxter County resident Algerdas K. claimed a $300,000 top prize on an Xtreme Money scratch-off ticket after purchasing it at 24 Hour Fuel, 403 U.S. Highway 62 East, in Mountain Home. He claimed the prize July 30 after checking the ticket several times to make sure he had actually won.
Algerdas showed the ticket to his wife to confirm the win, and the couple was so surprised they couldn’t sleep that night. They have not yet decided how they will use the money but plan to continue playing lottery games.
Now, lottery officials say another big prize is waiting in Mountain Home.
A $25,000 winning LOTTO ticket from Saturday’s drawing was sold at Casey’s General Store, 859 U.S. Highway 62 East. The winning numbers were 7, 10, 11, 21, 30 and 32, with Bonus Number 40. The ticket remains unclaimed, and the winner has 180 days from the Aug. 1 drawing to collect the prize.
Statewide, more than 3,100 winning LOTTO tickets were sold in Saturday’s drawing, including eight prizes worth more than $500. The LOTTO jackpot for Wednesday night’s drawing has grown to $2.141 million.
