The most valuable Powerball ticket in Wednesday’s drawing was sold in Maine

BRISTOL, Maine (WMTW) – Mainers continue to get really close to hitting the Powerball jackpot.

No one won the jackpot in Wednesday’s drawing, but another ticket sold in Maine was the top prize in the country.

A ticket matching four white balls and the red Power Ball with the Power Play purchased was sold at Hanley’s Market in Bristol. That ticket is worth $100,000 and is one of only three $100,000 tickets in the entire country. No one won more than that in Wednesday’s drawing. There were also five $50,000 tickets – matching four white balls and the red Power Ball but without the Power Play.

The winning numbers for Wednesday’s drawing were 12, 32, 45, 50, 58 and a Power Ball of 2.

The jackpot for Saturday’s drawing is now an estimated $98 million.

It has been a good month for Powerball tickets in Maine. Last Wednesday, a $50,000 ticket was sold at Gary’s Quick Stop in Richmond. A week before that, another $50,000 ticket was sold at the Market Basket in Topsham. That was part of the $1.04 billion drawing in which a winning ticket was sold in Illinois.

Earlier this month a $50,000 Powerball ticket was sold at the Wells Super Food Market in Wells.
