National Lottery operator Allwyn has issued a statement after tonight’s Lotto draw was halted due to a ‘technical fault’. It is a quadruple rollover tonight, which means there is a jackpot of £10.5m up for grabs.
The numbers 40, 28, 4, 59, 9, and 42 were drawn before the feed to the draw cut on Saturday night before a message was displayed. An announcement then said there had been a technical fault and the results would be available later after being drawn in front of an independent adjudicator.
The stream for the draw on the National Lottery YouTube channel then became unavailable, reports the Manchester Evening News.
The message on screen said, “Due to a technical fault, we cannot stream this live draw. Please check national-lottery.co.uk later for the draw results.”
Now, a spokesman for National Lottery operator Allwyn has said: “Due to the bonus ball not dropping during tonight’s Lotto draw, we have paused the draw.
“It will resume as soon as possible with an alternative draw machine and under the supervision of an independent adjudicator.
“We expect to complete tonight’s Lotto draw and publish the verified results on national-lottery.co.uk later this evening and apologise for the delay.”
The MEN reported that the quadruple rollover numbers are expected to be published tonight.
