Winning EuroMillions ticket traced to Irish shop as lucky punter bags €1m prize

Players are being urged to check their tickets from Friday night’s EuroMillions draw to see if they have won the life-changing sum
The search is on to find Ireland’s newest millionaire after a lucky EuroMillions player from Co Cork bagged a life-changing seven-figure prize in Friday night’s draw.
This Easter weekend has proven to be even more memorable than usual for one lucky EuroMillions player in Ireland as Friday’s draw (April 3) saw one punter take home an incredible €1,005,000 in last night’s Ireland Only Raffle.
The punter snagged the jaw-dropping sum as part of a promotional draw which guaranteed one of 10 Irish winners an extra €1 million on top of the €5,000.
As with every EuroMillions draw, ten players won €5,000 with their unique raffle ticket number. However, in Friday’s draw, those ten winning tickets were then entered into a once-off random draw where one ticket was selected to win an additional €1 million, making them the latest National Lottery millionaire of 2026.
The winning raffle ticket number was: I-TLX-11633.
The National Lottery has confirmed that the winning Quick Pick ticket was purchase on Thursday, April 2, from Marina XL Filling Station on Monahan Road in Cork City.
Tim O’Donoghue, Store Owner at Marina XL Filling Station, who was over the moon after receiving the call from the National Lottery that his shop had sold the all-important winning ticket.
“What a fantastic win for one of our customers here in Cork!” he said.
“We’ve been proudly serving the Marina area for 23 years, and this is by far our biggest win to date.
“We’re a busy store with customers coming and going all day, so there’s huge excitement among the team knowing that one of those shoppers is now a millionaire. We’re absolutely delighted to have sold the winning ticket and want to wish the winner all the best in the future.”
EuroMillions players in Cork are now being to check their tickets carefully as one player now has a ticket worth a life-changing amount.
National Lottery spokesperson, Emma Monaghan, shared: “It’s an Easter weekend to remember for one of our EuroMillions players in Cork, who has become the latest National Lottery millionaire of 2026!
“We’re asking anyone who bought their ticket at Marina XL Filling Station to check their raffle number carefully. We’re absolutely thrilled for Ireland’s newest millionaire!”
The latest EuroMillions Ireland Only Raffle winner is advised to sign the back of their ticket and to keep it safe. They should make contact with our prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for them to collect their prize in Lottery HQ.
Nine other players claimed €5,000 in Friday’s draw as part of the Ireland-only raffle while the best of the rest as far as Irish punters are concerned were the 51 winners of €2,000 for matching four numbers in the EuroMillions Plus draw.
