Powerball Winning Numbers August 2026: Results for Wednesday August 12 drawing for $1 Billion jackpot

The Powerballjackpot has crossed one of the lottery’s rarest thresholds, putting $1 billion on the line Wednesday night and giving millions of players another chance to end a run without a grand prize winner.

No ticket matched all six numbers in Monday’s drawing, pushing the estimated jackpot for Wednesday, August 12, 2026, to $1 billion. A winner choosing the cash option would receive an estimated $433.1 million before taxes rather than taking the full jackpot through annual payments.

Powerball: 5 largest U.S. lottery jackpots ever won no one can explain

Wednesday’s winning numbers have not yet been drawn. The drawing is scheduled for 10:59 p.m. ET, with official results released shortly afterward.

The numbers from Monday, August 10, were:

  • 6, 37, 54, 55, 64
  • Powerball: 10
  • Power Play: 3x

Although nobody won the jackpot, the drawing still produced several major prizes. A Tennessee ticket matched all five white balls and included Power Play, making it worth $2 million. Tickets sold in California and Maryland matched the five white numbers for $1 million prizes.

Wednesday jackpot enters rare territory

At an estimated $1 billion, the August 12 prize ranks as the eighth largest Powerball jackpot since the game began in 1992.

The record remains the $2.04 billion jackpot won by a California ticket in November 2022. A $1.817 billion jackpot won in Arkansas in December 2025 and a $1.787 billion prize shared by tickets in Missouri and Texas in September 2025 are also among the game’s largest payouts.

Wednesday’s jackpot has been building since the most recent Powerball grand prize was won on May 2, when tickets in Florida and Texas shared a $20 million jackpot.

Every drawing without a winner has pushed the prize higher, creating the billion dollar figure now attracting attention nationwide.

When will winning Powerball numbers be available?

Powerball drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. ET.

Players must match five white balls, drawn from numbers 1 through 69, plus the red Powerball, drawn from 1 through 26, to win the jackpot. The odds of doing so are 1 in 292.2 million.

Ticket sales deadlines vary by state. In New York, tickets can be purchased until 10 p.m. on drawing nights, while New Jersey stops sales at 9:45 p.m. and Connecticut also closes at 10 p.m.

Wednesday’s numbers will determine whether the jackpot finally has a winner or grows even larger ahead of the next drawing on Saturday, August 15.

Until then, one detail is certain, is that the Powerball prize has reached a level seen only a handful of times in the game’s history.
