The Powerball jackpot has grown to an estimated $905 million for Monday night’s drawing, making it the eighth-largest jackpot in the game’s history.
It has been months since someone last won the jackpot, allowing the prize to continue growing.
In Saturday night’s drawing, four tickets came close to winning the top prize, matching five numbers to win $1 million each. Those tickets were sold in Arizona, Florida, Michigan and New York.
The winner of Monday night’s drawing could choose a lump-sum cash option of about $391 million.
