Meanwhile, earlier this year, Ithuba confirmed that the winner of the R100.6 million Lotto jackpot from the draw on May 6, 2026, had officially claimed his prize.
The winning Quick Pick ticket was purchased at a Checkers Hyper in Sandton City, making it the third-highest Lotto jackpot win of 2026.
The winner, an entrepreneur in the mining sector, said he had played PowerBall consistently every Tuesday and Friday for the past two years after narrowly missing out on a jackpot shortly after he started playing.
