North East Postcode Lottery results with one lucky street scooping £30,000

Residents in several North East areas who play the national game have been lucky enough to win this week

Residents living in North East areas such as North Shields and Houghton-le-Spring have won money on the Postcode Lottery. Players won a £1,000 prize last week if they were living in nine North East streets, split across North Tyneside, Sunderland, Northumberland, County Durham and Teesside.

The winning areas, chosen between Saturday, June 20, and Friday, June 26, include postcodes from across the region. The lucky winners will get a boost to their bank accounts as a result of this unexpected but welcome prize, with residents in Ferryhill also being successful.

The People’s Postcode Lottery, which raises money for charity through its subscriptions, unveils daily prizes for postcodes across the country, and a minimum of 33% from each ticket that is sold goes to charity.

The North East Postcode Lottery winners from June 20 to June 26, and the amounts that their prize is worth, are listed as follows:

• DL17 9LZ (Ferryhill)
• NE30 4AH (North Shields)
• DH5 9RW (Houghton le Spring)

However, there was one particularly lucky street in Stockton-on-Tees. The residents of the postcode TS21 1GA on Ribblesdale Way in the Fairfield ward of Stockton-on-Tees won £30,000 this week.
