North Carolina woman wins $200,000 after buying $5 scratch-off at convenience store
WAYNE COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) — Alina Gonzalez, of Dudley, bought a $5 scratch-off and won a $200,000 top prize in a new lottery game, according to an NC Education Lottery news release.
“I’ve got this adrenaline running through my body,” she said. “I’m still a little shaky.”

Gonzalez said she was in shock when she saw how much she won.
“You don’t expect to win, but I guess you never really know,” she said.
Gonzalez bought her winning Mega Bucks ticket Thursday morning from Dudley Food Mart on Fox Drive in Dudley.
She arrived at lottery headquarters later that day to claim her prize.
After required state and federal tax withholdings, she took home $144,021.
Gonzalez plans to use her winnings to buy a home.
