It was a busy week for multiple Michigan residents as they claimed over $3 million in lottery prizes.
From multiple $1 million prize winners to someone winning $100,000 a year for life, several Michigan residents claimed prizes in the Michigan Lottery this week.

Genessee County
According to Michigan Lottery Connect, $1 million prize winner came from a Genessee County came from a Cinco de Mayo celebration playing the Michigan Lottery’s new Lucky Stars instant game.
“I play lottery games a lot, but I actually wasn’t planning on stopping to buy tickets that day,” said the lucky 39-year-old player, who chose to remain anonymous. “I went out with a friend for Cinco de Mayo, and after she suggested we stop to buy tickets, so we did.”
The player bought her winning ticket at Liquor Wheel, located at 4117 Clio Road in Flint. She recently visited Lottery headquarters to claim the big prize. She chose to receive her prize as a one-time lump sum payment of about $693,000 rather than annuity payments for the full amount. With her winnings, she plans to buy her parents a new house and a car and then save the remainder.

“I bought a few tickets and won $30, so I used my winnings to buy two more,” the winner said. “I scratched them in the store and ran out to my car crying when I saw I’d won $1 million. It was unreal! I’m still trying to process it.”
Oakland County

“I stopped at the store and bought three lottery tickets,” said the lucky 48-year-old player, who chose to remain anonymous. “I didn’t win anything on the first two tickets, then I scratched the third ticket and was in total disbelief when I saw I’d won $1 million!”
The player bought his winning ticket at Main Street Convenience Inc., located at 402 South Main Street in Ann Arbor. He chose to receive his prize as a one-time lump sum payment of about $693,000 rather than annuity payments for the full amount. With his winnings, he plans to start college funds for his children.
“I feel so blessed to win a prize like this. It’s going to give our family a sense of financial security and will allow us to give our kids a better future.”
Mancelona
A lucky Michigan Lottery player made history last night as the first player in Michigan to win a $100,000 a year for life prize playing the new Millionaire For Life game.

The lucky player matched the five white balls – 03-15-16-24-28 – in last night’s drawing to win the big prize. The winning ticket was bought at the Mancelona North EZ Mart, located at 8150 US Highway 131 Northeast in Mancelona. Mancelona is about 35 miles northeast of Traverse City.
This prize marks the first time a Michigan Lottery player has won the second-tier prize of $100,000 a year for life since the Millionaire For Life game launched on Feb. 22.
The lucky winner will have two choices to collect the big prize:
Annual $100,000 payments for a minimum of 20 years of life, whichever is greater.

A one-time lump sum payment of $2.2 million.
The winners should contact the Michigan Lottery Player Relations Division at 844-917-6325 to schedule an appointment to collect the big prize. The prize must be claimed at the Lottery’s headquarters in Lansing. Millionaire For Life tickets are valid for one year from the drawing date.
