Powerball First Division had no winners and will roll over to Wednesday where $12 million will be on the line.
Powerball Second Division was won however, with an Ōtorohanga player taking home $40,724. They also bought their ticket on MyLotto.
Fourteen players from across the country had cause for major celebration last night, splitting Lotto’s Second Division prize and each taking home $20,898.
The winning tickets were bought across the Far North, Auckland, Hamilton, Ōtorohanga, Taupō, New Plymouth, Wellington, Canterbury, Christchurch, Mosgiel and Dunedin.
Earlier this month, an Ashburton family took home $28.6m after winning Powerball First Division and three shares of Lotto First Division.
The winning ticket put the town at the centre of one of the country’s biggest lottery wins this year.
What to do if you win
Ticket holders can immediately see if they have won if they purchased a ticket through the MyLotto app. Prizes of $1000 or less are automatically credited to the account.
For prizes exceeding $1000, winners must complete an online prize claim form.
Winners with physical tickets must still visit a Lotto retailer to claim their prize.
For the Powerball jackpot to be claimed, a ticket holder must get all six Lotto numbers correct as well as the added Powerball number.
