The National Lottery has issued an appeal for the EuroMillions Plus ticket holder to come forward and claim their €500,000 prize
Tonight’s staggering EuroMillions jackpot of €39,355,091 has been drawn, and while nobody claimed the top prize outright, one Irish punter has reason to pop the champagne after landing a six-figure windfall.
The fortunate ticket holder secured the top prize in the EuroMillions Plus draw by correctly matching all five numbers: 12, 37, 38, 49 and 50. They’re set to pocket a life-altering sum of €500,000, though they’ve not yet stepped forward to claim it.
National Lottery officials have launched an urgent call for participants to double-check their tickets. In their appeal, they’ve revealed where the winning ticket was sold.
The EuroMillions Plus jackpot winner purchased their golden ticket somewhere in Co Limerick. This fortunate individual joins more than 46,000 players across Ireland who secured prizes in tonight’s EuroMillions draws, reports the Irish Mirror.
Additionally, in the EuroMillions Plus draw, 46 players who matched four of the five winning numbers will each collect €2,000. In the Ireland Only raffle, 10 winners will each walk away with €5,000.
It proved a disappointing evening for Irish participants in the main draw, with the highest prize being merely €175, claimed by 23 players who matched four numbers plus one lucky star. A National Lottery spokesperson confirmed: “There was no winner of the EuroMillions jackpot.
“In total, over 46,000 players in Ireland won prizes in the EuroMillions and Plus games. There was one winner of the Plus top prize. The winning ticket was sold in Limerick.”
