A routine trip for gas just turned into a $1 million payday for this Michigan man

A Michigan man who decided to buy a lottery ticket while he was at a gas station recently won big.

We don’t know the 27-year-old man’s name but we do know that he is from Saginaw County.

The man stopped at the Express Stop gas station on Gratiot Road in Saginaw for gas and while there bought a $10 Epic Wild Time Instant Game.

He shared with the Michigan Lottery how he felt when he found out he had won.

“I bought an Epic Wild Time ticket while I was at the gas station and scratched it off when I got in my car. It was an amazing feeling when I saw I won $1 million! This prize will allow me to build a better future for myself.”

When you win a large amount like this you have to head to Michigan Lottery headquarters in Lansing to claim your money.

The man decided to take a one-time lump sum payment of about $693,000 instead of the full amount which would be paid out over time.

With the newfound money he’s going to get a new car and share some of the money with family.

This lucky man from Saginaw County isn’t the only person to win big playing the Michigan Lottery.

A man visiting Michigan from Maryland recently won $1,000,000 playing a Lucky Numbers instant win ticket.

A Bay County woman who had been playing Lotto 47 for 20 years with the same numbers hit it big and won $1.1 million.

And an Oakland County woman playing Fantasy 5 online accidentally selected a wrong number that resulted in her winning $250,000.
