A massive EuroMillions prize remains unclaimed and the National Lottery is urging anyone who may have been in Powys to check old bags, drawers and coat pockets
A mystery EuroMillions winner is being urged to come forward, with just weeks left to claim a £112,000 prize that could otherwise slip away.
The winning EuroMillions ticket was bought in Powys, Wales on December 12 last year – but so far nobody has stepped forward. The deadline to claim is June 10.
With time ticking down, the National Lottery is asking anyone who was in the area around that date – residents or anyone just passing through – to dig out old bags, drawers and coat pockets in case the winning slip is stashed away.
The ticket matched all five main numbers and one Lucky Star. The winning numbers were 7, 25, 30, 37, and 41 with Lucky Star numbers 5 and 11.

Andy Carter, senior winners’ adviser at Allwyn, operator of The National Lottery, said: “With time running out, we’re asking anyone who was in Powys in the days leading up to the December 12 draw to stop and think – did you buy a Euromillions ticket?
“Whether you live locally, were visiting family, or just passing through please check any places you might have stored your pink ticket. We’ve seen major prizes claimed right up to the last minute but the clock is ticking for this winner.”
If nobody claims the winning ticket before the deadline, the prize, along with all the interest it has accrued, will be directed towards National Lottery-funded projects throughout the UK, reports Wales Online.
As with all National Lottery draws, players are given 180 days to come forward and claim their prize.
Anyone with questions, or those who believe they hold the winning ticket for any National Lottery draw within the 180-day deadline, can contact the National Lottery Line on 0333 234 5050.
It comes after two UK ticket-holders each won more than £41m in the EuroMillions draw on April 21.
The winning numbers were 13, 16, 29, 40 and 47 with the Lucky Star numbers 3 and 4. Two tickets bought in the UK and one bought in France matched all seven numbers and shared the jackpot, winning £41,844,862.30 each.
Andy Carter said at the time: “It’s been another great night for EuroMillions players as two lucky UK winners have won an incredible share of tonight’s £126M jackpot prize.
“These lucky ticket-holders join the £181M jackpot winner from 10 March – another big UK win. Check your tickets and get in touch if you think you might be one of tonight’s lucky winners.”
