A lucky Scottish lottery winner has scooped £1m after an appeal over their unclaimed prize.
The winning ticket was purchased in Aberdeenshire for the Lotto draw Saturday, August 8. It matched five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball in Round 2, securing the lucky £1m prize.
At the same time, a missing winner in the City of Wakefield for the Lotto draw on Wednesday, August 5 came forward. They also matched five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball in Round 2 to win £1m.
It comes as 20 people have become Lotto millionaires across the country this month, with the total for 2026 at a whopping 120 millionaires.
