‘It was the best dog walk I have ever had’ – North Yorkshire man wins lottery

A man from North Yorkshire is celebrating after he took home the top prize of £500,000 in the National Lottery’s Thunderball draw after matching all five main numbers and the Thunderball on April 14.
He bought the winning ticket on April 14 while out walking his dog, alongside his usual Lotto entry – using some spare change for an extra ticket.

The man – who is remaining anonymous – added that he plans to pay off his mortgage and use to the rest of the money to enjoy life to the fullest.
A second recent win in Yorkshire saw a South Yorkshire couple claim £1 million in the National Lottery Lotto draw on May 20, matching five main numbers and the bonus ball.
They said that they have booked a holiday and will take time to consider their options for the future.
