Three punters become instant millionaires in Lotto’s game-changing new draw
THREE people have won million-pound prizes in the National Lottery’s new second chance draw.
The Lotto changes launched last week give players two goes at winning from each £2 ticket.

All three of the new millionaires scooped the big money on Saturday in the new last-chance round.
One of the trio had a payout in both rounds — £1million in one, but only £1 in the other.
More than 3.1million prizes were won overall last week as players’ chances to win big suddenly doubled.
There were 1.4million winners on Wednesday — 2.5 times more than usual — and 1.7million on Saturday.
Andy Carter, senior winners’ adviser at National Lottery operator Allwyn, said: “This is the biggest change to Lotto in a generation.
“All three new Lotto millionaires made on Saturday won in round two — showing the power of the new two-round format.”
Every line now enters players into two rounds per draw, using two sets of numbers drawn from 59 balls.
The change raises players’ chances of winning something from roughly one in nine to one in five.
It is set to more than double the number of Lotto millionaires from around 140 a year to about 345.
The jackpot is now shared across both rounds. Allwyn, whose chief is Andria Vidler, says today’s jackpot is estimated at £4.7million.
