$50,000 Powerball Ticket Sold in Hopkinsville

Someone who bought a Powerball ticket in Hopkinsville is $50,000 richer following Monday night’s drawing.
The Kentucky Lottery says the winning ticket was sold at the Circle K at 932 North Main Street.
The ticket matched four of the five white balls plus the Powerball in Monday’s drawing to win the game’s $50,000 prize.
Monday’s winning numbers were 3, 16, 33, 38 and 68. The Powerball was 2.
The Kentucky Lottery is encouraging the winner to sign the back of the ticket and keep it in a secure location until the prize can be claimed. Winners can claim prizes at Kentucky Lottery headquarters in Louisville.
The Hopkinsville winner is not the only person in the area holding a potentially valuable ticket.
Another $50,000 Powerball ticket sold in Hopkinsville earlier this year remains unclaimed. That ticket was purchased at the Circle K at 2175 Russellville Road for the March 21 drawing.
Kentucky Lottery winners have 180 days from the drawing date to claim their prizes.
Meanwhile, the Powerball jackpot is estimated at $96 million for Wednesday night’s drawing.
