$2M Powerball ticket sold in Byhalia remains unclaimed

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A lucky lottery player in Byhalia, Mississippi is waking up $2 million richer—if they know it.

According to the Mississippi Lottery Cooperation, the winning Powerball ticket was sold at Doc’s Quick Stop Exxon for Wednesday night’s drawing.

The player matched all five white ball numbers—3, 19, 35, 51 and 67—to win $1 million. By adding the $1 Power Play option, the prize was doubled to $2 million. Officials say the player selected their own numbers rather than using a Quick Pick.

As of now, the prize remains unclaimed.

Lottery officials say Wednesday’s drawing is being called a “Night of Millionaires” nationwide. While jackpot-winning tickets in Indiana and Kansas split the estimated $143 million top prize, an additional 89 players across the country also won $1 million or more.

Mississippi’s $2 million winner was one of 27 players who boosted their prize with the Power Play feature.

The Powerball jackpot now resets to an estimated $20 million for Saturday’s drawing.

Players are urged to check their tickets carefully and sign the back immediately.
