Lotto issue update over strange draw live on RTE

They have released a statement on it

The National Lottery has released a statement following a bizarre moment during a live draw on RTE on Wednesday March 11.

Following a cost-saving decision to no longer produce the live draw from RTE, the National Lottery is now responsible for the production of the broadcast.

The draw’s broadcast was moved to a new studio and on March 11 the livestream was paused for around 90 seconds in between the Lotto Plus 2 and Lotto Plus 1 draws due to what the National Lottery said was “a slight technical issue”.

Similarly, there were issues on Saturday night’s draw when a buzzing sound could be heard throughout.

The National Lottery have said that there was no issue with the audio during the live results.

In a statement, they said: “The draw results for Wednesday 11th March and Saturday 14th March Lotto and Lotto Plus games were carried out successfully in National Lottery HQ.”

In unrelated news, a new six-part series is filming in Galway and a casting call for extras has been issued by West Coast Casting.

The call is for a six-part psychological thriller called ‘The Yank’, which will be filmed in Galway City and Connemara.

Filming begins in March.

Those applying must be over 18 and have the legal right to work in Ireland.

The full casting call reads: “Extras wanted for a new TV show filming in Galway.

“The Yank, a new six-part psychological thriller, filming in Galway and Connemara is looking for extras and West Coast Casting want to hear from you.

“Filming begins in March in Galway City and Connemara.”
