$1 million Powerball ticket sold in Austin will expire if not claimed by Aug. 1

AUSTIN, Texas — Time is running out for the owner of a winning $1 million Powerball ticket purchased in Austin.

The Texas Lottery said the ticket, which matched all five white ball numbers in the Feb. 2 Powerball drawing, remains unclaimed and will expire on Aug. 1, if it is not validated before the deadline.

The winning ticket was purchased at Circle K #2704686, located at 6107 W. Parmer Lane in Austin.

The ticket matched the white ball numbers 3, 8, 31, 60 and 65, but did not match the red Powerball number 4, making it worth $1 million.

Lottery officials said anyone planning to claim the prize in person must do so by 5 p.m. local time on July 31, at a Texas Lottery claim center. Because Aug. 1 falls on a weekend when claim centers may be closed, the in-person deadline is the last business day before the ticket expires.

Officials encourage players to check the Texas Lottery website for claim center hours before making the trip, as operating hours may change.
