UTEP hosted a celebration Friday marking the university’s upcoming transition to the Mountain West Conference, which becomes official July 1.
As June came to a close, Americans are still worried about inflation and soaring prices, which continue to impact President Donald Trump’s approval rating.
A new poll by The Economist found that 37% approve of Americans approve of the president’s job performance while 59% disapprove and 5% are not sure. Top concerns are over inflation/prices, jobs and the economy, and health care.
The poll found that concerns about Trump’s job performance also extended to some Republicans.
“People who have the most education—college graduates and postgrads—are least likely to support Mr Trump. Voters of pension age, normally a solidly Republican bloc, are also surprisingly lukewarm on the president,” the poll stated.
