$1.5M Gopher 5 jackpot is latest big lottery win in Minnesota

It’s been a rewarding week for two Minnesotans, with another big lottery win confirmed by state officials.
The Minnesota Lottery announced that the Gopher 5 jackpot worth just over $1.5 million fell in Monday’s drawing, with a ticket-holder matching all five numbers: 27-29-32-28-07.
The winning ticket was sold at Cub Foods at 300 E. Travelers Trail in Burnsville, which earns a $5,000 bonus for selling the ticket.

It came just two days after a ticket sold in Coon Rapidswon the Lotto America jackpot on Saturday, with the winner having the choice of $34 million in annuity payments or just over $15 million as a lump sum.
The Minnesota Lottery confirmed that it is the largest Lotto America win in state history.
The Gopher 5 jackpot now returned to a $100,000 jackpot for the next drawing.
