Winning EuroMillions ticket traced to Irish shop as urgent appeal issued

Lotto bosses have confirmed that the winner has yet to come forward to claim their prize

Irish EuroMillions players are being urged to check their tickets after one lucky punter bagged a huge five-figure prize in Friday’s draw.

In total, over 63,000 players in Ireland won prizes in last night’s EuroMillions and Plus games, including one ticketholder who matched five correct numbers in the main draw to bag €18,903.

The National Lottery has confirmed that the winning Quick Pick ticket was purchased on the day of the draw at Nolan’s Supermarket, Unit 5, 49 Vernon Avenue, Clontarf, Dublin 3.

The winning EuroMillions numbers for Friday’s (May 29) draw were: 5, 14, 18, 31, 35 and the Lucky Stars were 2 and 12.

Lotto bosses are urging players in Co. Dublin to carefully check their tickets, as incredible prizes from last night’s EuroMillions and EuroMillions Plus draws are yet to be claimed.

Darragh O’Dwyer, National Lottery spokesperson said: “What a Friday night it has been for one EuroMillions player in Dublin!

“The Dublin player took home the biggest prize of the night when they scooped a prize of €18,903 after matching 5 numbers in the EuroMillions draw.

“In total, over 63,000 players in Ireland won prizes in the Euromillions and EuroMillions Plus draws.

“The Dublin winner should now make contact with our Prize Claims team on 1800 666 222 who will make arrangements for them to visit National Lottery Headquarters and collect their prize.”

With the country celebrating the June bank holiday weekend, the National Lottery is adding to the excitement with a guaranteed €1 million win up for grabs.

€1m is guaranteed to be won in a special Lotto Plus Raffle event on Saturday night, May 30. The Lotto Plus Raffle typically sees between 60 and 120 winners of €500 in every draw but for tonight’s draw, the National Lottery is adding a guaranteed to be won €1 million to the Lotto Plus Raffle prize fund.

Each of the tickets with the winning Lotto Plus Raffle number drawn in Saturday night’s draw will be entered into a once-off draw, where one ticket will be selected to win an additional prize of €1 million, as well as the usual €500 Raffle prize.

Players dreaming of bank holiday weekend celebrations after the Saturday night draw are reminded that tickets can be purchased in-store, through the National Lottery app or at www.lottery.ie ahead of the 7.45pm cut-off time for sales this evening.
