Winning $2 million lottery ticket sold in Alexandria

ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) – A winning $2 million lottery ticket was sold in Alexandria on April 29.

According to the Louisiana Lottery, the ticket was sold at the Tobacco Plus #16.

The winning numbers for the April 29 drawing were 03-19-35-51-67, with the red Powerball number being 15.

Louisiana Lottery said the state made history with 11 people becoming millionaires in a single drawing, with a combined winnings of $16 million.

Six people won $1 million with Powerball match-5 winning tickets; five people won $2 million with Powerball match-5 + Power Play tickets.

The $134.4 million jackpot was claimed by people in Indiana and Kansas.

“We couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate our 35th anniversary than with 11 of our players becoming millionaires in just one drawing! We are incredibly excited for all our big winners and look forward to meeting them!” said Lottery President Rose Hudson.
