Hunt for mystery lottery £1m winner in UK who is yet to claim eye-watering prize
A SEARCH is currently underway for the owner of a £1million winning Lotto ticket.
National Lottery has revealed that the lucky ticket was purchased in Aberdeenshire.

Lotto players are being urged to check their tickets from the draw which took place on Saturday, August 8.
The ticket was purchased from a retailer in Aberdeenshire, and matched five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball in the second round to secure the seven-figure prize.
Now, everyone from local residents to those who were simply passing through the area have been encouraged to take another look.
The lucky winner has until Thursday, February 4, 2027 to come forward and claim their prize.
While the mystery winner has yet to step forward, the August 8 draw saw a total of six other millionaires made in one night alone.
Five players won £1million each after matching five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball, while two other lucky players shared the £8.5million jackpot.
Lynn Devlin, Winner’s Experience Lead at Allwyn, operator of The National Lottery, said: “Imagine discovering that a ticket you bought weeks ago is worth £1million.
“That’s exactly what could happen for a Lotto player in Aberdeenshire.”
She continued: “We’re encouraging everyone who bought a ticket in the area to give it another check.
“Tickets can easily be tucked away and forgotten about, and we’d love to reunite this prize with its rightful owner. It could be you.”
Lotto players not in possession of their ticket, for whatever reason, but who believe they have a genuine claim can still make a claim in writing to Allwyn, but it must be within 30 days of the draw.
Players can check the current list of unclaimed National Lottery prizes on the National Lottery website.
