Vacherie woman wins $120,000 Easy 5 Jackpot Prize
ST. JAMES PARISH, La (WGNO) — A Vacherie woman claimed the winning Easy 5 jackpot ticket from the May 23 drawing at Lottery headquarters in Baton Rouge.
Her ticket matched all five winning numbers. Following state and federal tax withholdings, her net winnings totaled $87,601.46.
The winning ticket was sold at Wag-A-Park II on Highway 20 West in Vacherie.

“We have a lot of loyal customers that try their luck daily, and it feels great that one of them can experience that feeling of winning big,” Store Owner Amro Saeed said in a news release.
According to Louisiana Lottery officials, the jackpot marks the latest in a series of wins by Louisiana residents during the lottery’s 35th anniversary year. The April 29 Powerball produced a record-breaking 11 Louisiana winners of $1 million and $2 million.
The Louisiana Lottery says players should sign their tickets immediately after purchase. Draw-game prizes must be claimed within 180 days of the drawing.
