$9.8M winning LOTTO ticket sold in Groton
GROTON, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — A $9,800,000 jackpot-winning ticket was sold in Tompkins County for a weekend drawing, according to New York Lottery.
The ticket was bought at a Speedway located on 202 Main St. in Groton. It was fora May 2 drawing.
The winning numbers were 8, 13, 28, 35, 49 and 54. The bonus was 16.
To play the ‘LOTTO’ game, six winning numbers plus a bonus number are drawn from a field of one to 59, said the statement.
A jackpot win happens when a player matches the first six numbers. Those who match five numbers and an additional bonus number win second prize, the lottery said.
‘LOTTO’ drawings are televised every Wednesday and Saturday at 8:15 p.m.
