Urgent hunt for mystery North East millionaire with winning lottery ticket

A North East individual is a millionaire – and they don’t even know it.

The mystery winner is yet to claim their life-changing £1million prize they won by chance months ago.

The EuroMillions UK Millionaire Maker prize was won on a ticket purchased in Hartlepool for the draw on March 13, this year.

The victorious Millionaire Maker code was JLZG97793, and the winner only has until September 9, 2026 to come forward and claim their prize.

Andy Carter, senior winners advisor at Allwyn, operator of The National Lottery, said: “We’re urgently seeking our missing millionaire and asking players to double check their tickets.

“Did you play our special Friday 13 March EuroMillions draw?

“Think back to what you were doing in March.

“Talk to your family, friends, colleagues – anyone you think might have bought a ticket in the lead up to the 13 March draw could very well be the winner we’re looking for.”

He added: “Do you live in the Hartlepool area or were you passing through?

“Someone who bought a ticket in Hartlepool is now a millionaire and it’s our mission to unite them with their winnings, but time is ticking.”

On this particular night, 13 winners were made – but one remains unclaimed.

If the prize is not claimed by the deadline, the money – plus any interest generated – will be donated to National Lottery-funded projects across the UK.

All National Lottery prize-winners have 180 days from the date of the draw to claim their winnings.
