Unclaimed $1 million Texas Powerball ticket set to expire soon
An unclaimed $1 million Powerball ticket that was purchased in Austin for the Feb. 2 drawing.
Someone’s luck turned when they walked into a North Austin Circle K earlier this year, but they have just a month before it runs dry.
The Texas Lottery Commission announced Wednesday there is an unclaimed winning Powerball ticket worth $1 million from the Feb. 2 drawing that is coming up on its expiration date. The winning ticket matched all five of the white ball numbers, reading 3-8-31-60-66, but not the red ball number, 4. The ticket was purchased at Circle K located at 6107 W. Parmer Lane, in Austin.
The winner has until Aug. 1 to validate their ticket. The winner can either claim the prize in person at a Texas Lottery Claim Center by 5 p.m on July 31 or by mail. The ticket and the claim form must be postmarked before Aug. 1 and sent to Texas Lottery ATTN: Austin Claim Center, PO Box 16600
Austin, TX 78761-6600.
Unclaimed prizes go back to the state for programs authorized by the legislature, according to the commission.
