Two National Lottery players become millionaires after Lotto rules change

No player matched all six main numbers in either draw to scoop the top prize, which means Lotto players will be able to try their luck on Saturday with a £6.6million jackpot.
The winning Lotto numbers were:
Round 1: 30, 35, 39, 45, 46, 53 and the bonus number was 37.
Round 2: 3, 25, 31, 32, 34, 54 and the bonus number was 45.
With this latest win, the number of Lotto millionaires has soared to an incredible 29 since the introduction of the new ‘Two Chances to Win’ game format less than a month ago.
Andy Carter, senior winners’ adviser at Allwyn – operator of The National Lottery, said: “Tonight proved to be a truly memorable one on the nation’s millionaire maker, Lotto.
“Two ticket-holders have won a fantastic £1 million in tonight’s draw, with one of them winning in round 1 and one of them winning in round 2.
“This takes the total to an amazing 29 Lotto millionaires made since the new ‘Two Chances to Win’ game format launched less than a month ago.
“Playing any National Lottery game is about so much more than the chance to celebrate a big win.
“Every week, National Lottery players help raise around £33 million for Good Cause projects that make a real difference to communities across the UK.”
For the Lotto HotPicks game, which uses the same numbers as the Lotto draw, no player matched five out of five numbers to take home £175,000.
The winning Thunderball numbers were 13, 18, 24, 25, 34 – and the Thunderball number was 02.
No ticket holders matched all five numbers and the Thunderball to win £500,000.
