Ten lottery players to get £1 million prize in Euromillions draw this week

The game on Friday will see 10 people turned into millionaires

Ten lucky lottery players are guaranteed to win £1 million this week as the EuroMillions draw is offering extra prizes on Friday (January 16).

Every week there is a EuroMillions draw on Tuesday and Friday, with a Lotto draw every Wednesday and Saturday plus a Set For Life every Monday and Thursday. With every EuroMillions draw there is the jackpot prize, which has been known to reach as high as £205 million.

As well as the jackpot prize, every player is automatically entered into the UK Millionaire Maker which guarantees that one person will win £1 million in every EuroMillions draw. But this Friday, a whopping 10 people are going to win this prize.

As of Tuesday, January 13, the EuroMillions jackpot sits at a staggering £55 million. If the jackpot is won, the prize pot will reset for Friday’s draw, but if not then players can expect a jackpot of £60 million or higher.

To be in with a chance of winning the EuroMillions jackpot, one player must match all five numbers plus the two lucky stars – but matching some of the numbers can still win you some cash. Matching five numbers and one lucky star can win you £130,554 while you could bag £13,561 if you match five numbers.

It comes as six big National Lottery prizes from over the last six months are waiting to be collected by the winning ticket holder, including a staggering £10 million prize and four £1 million prizes. Every time a player wins a big prize in a National Lottery game, they are given 180 days – around six months – to collect their cash. If nobody claims the prize, the money gets ingested into the National Lottery’s community fund which helps projects across the UK.

One £1 million prize sits unclaimed from a EuroMillions draw on August 15, won with a ticket bought in Birmingham. This prize pot has a deadline of February 11, giving the player two months to collect their winnings. Another £1 million was won with a ticket purchased in Broxbourne as the player won the Millionaire Maker draw in a EuroMillions game.

Three more £1 million prizes await being claimed – the first being a Millionaire Maker win from a EuroMillions draw on October 31, another from a Lotto draw on November 1 from a ticket bought in South Gloucestershire and the third is another Millionaire Maker prize from a EuroMillions draw on November 4. These players have deadlines of April 29, April 30 and May 3 2026 respectively.

On top of those four £1 million prizes, a staggering £10 million prize is also waiting to be claimed by the rightful player. A sum of £10,633,323 was won by one player in a Lotto draw on October 4 when they matched all six numbers – 6, 8, 12, 33, 49, 59. This ticket was bought in the London Borough of Bexley and the player has until April 2 to come forward and claim their cash.

And finally, a Set For Life prize of £10,000 every month for a year is waiting to be claimed by a player who bought a ticket in West Dorset for a draw on October 16.
