A Soweto lottery player is waking up to a life-changing fortune after landing a whopping R93,5 million PowerBall jackpot.

The winning ticket for draw number 1748, held on Friday, 21 August 2026, was purchased at Pronto Fruit and Vegetables in Molapo, Soweto.

The winner has yet to come forward to claim the massive prize.

Winner urged to come forward

Sizekhaya Holdings, the operator of South Africa’s National Lottery, has congratulated the lucky player and urged them to come forward to claim their winnings.

Sizekhaya chief operating officer Fundi Sithebe said the win was an extraordinary moment.

The R93,5 million jackpot is among the biggest National Lottery prizes won since Sizekhaya took over as operator on 1 June 2026.

Sithebe said the company’s goal was to create more winners across the country.
