Someone bought a $1M scratch-off at this San Antonio gas station
Another San Antonio resident became an instant millionaire after winning big on a Texas Lottery scratcher.
A stop at a gas station on the Eastside of San Antonio changed the life of a local this week. A San Antonio resident hit the jackpot, becoming an instant millionaire.
According to the Texas Lottery Commission, a lucky local’s visit to the Stop and Shop at 830 N. New Braunfels Ave. turned into a $1 million decision. The San Antonio resident nabbed a million in a rare scratch-off win in a game that only has four $1 million prizes out of more than 5 million tickets printed.
“This was the second of four top prizes worth $1 million to be claimed in this game,” the Texas Lottery Commission reports. “Monaco Millionaire offers more than $72.6 million in total prices. Overall odds of winning any prize in the game are one in 3.74, including break-even prizes.”
The majority of prizes aren’t going to make players rich, hovering in the low double digits, but there’s still hope for those grabbing a scratcher at their local fuel station or corner store. Two more $1 million prizes remain unclaimed, and there are another 17 $20,000 prizes and three $100,000 prizes up for the taking.
According to the Texas Lottery website, each roll of the Monaco Millionaire scratch-offs is guaranteed to have $190 in winnings. This marks the latest in a lucky streak for Texas players.
