NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — North Charleston lottery players are encouraged to check their tickets because according to the South Carolina Education Lottery, a $160,000 winner is out there somewhere.
Someone has won South Carolina’s Palmetto Cash 5 rolling jackpot worth $160,000 after a drawing on Friday. The lucky ticket was purchased at the Publix Super Market on Dorchester Road.
The winning ticket reportedly matched all five numbers drawn on March 27, becoming South Carolina’s 40th jackpot win.
Lottery officials state that the ticket has yet to be cashed in, and the jackpot winner has 180 days from the March 27 drawing to claim their prize money.
The odds of winning the Palmetto Cash 5 jackpot are 1 in 850,668, and the Palmetto Cash 5 jackpot for tonight’s drawing is $110,000.
