Powerball player in Chattanooga wins $50,000

The Tennessee Lottery says a local Powerball player won $50,000 on Monday night, May 18.

Pit Stop Market on Dayton Boulevard sold the winning ticket.

No word yet on the winner.

There were thousands of winners across the state, but the Chattanooga player won one of the bigger prizes.

One player in Manchester even won the game’s jackpot of $420,000. Another Powerball player won $50,000 in Franklin.

No additional information will be available until prizes are claimed.
