This jackpot has been growing for the last three months and has now moved into the eighth-highest Powerball jackpot in the game’s history. To move up beyond this spot, this jackpot would need to hit more than $1 billion.
“The last time we saw a Powerball jackpot of this size was on Christmas Eve, with a $1.817 billion prize on the line,” said Stephen Durrell, Powerball Product Group Chair and Kansas Lottery Executive Director.
