Powerball hits $905M on Monday, Aug. 10. Are you in?

The next Powerball jackpot is closing in on $1 billion.

No ticket matched all six numbers in the last drawing, pushing the jackpot for Monday, Aug. 10, to an estimated $905 million, with a $391.9 million cash option.

The winning numbers drawn on Saturday, Aug. 8 were 5-9-35-54-63, with Powerball 7.

The jackpot has been growing since May 2, when winning tickets sold in Texas and Florida split a $20 million prize. After more than three months of rollovers, the grand prize now ranks the eighth-largest Powerball jackpots ever offered.

Did anyone win the Powerball jackpot on Aug. 8?

No.

While no one matched all six numbers, several players still scored life-changing prizes.

A ticket sold in Texas matched all five white balls and the Power Play to win $2 million. Four additional tickets sold in Arizona, Florida, Michigan and New York matched all five white balls and won $1 million each, according to Powerball.

The next Powerball drawing is scheduled for Monday, Aug. 10, at approximately 10:59 p.m. ET.

Drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, and can be watched live on Powerball’s website.

The odds of matching all five white balls and the Powerball are a staggering 1 in 292,201,338.

• Give birth to natural quadruplets (about 1 in 700,000)

• Be struck by lightning this year (about 1 in 15,000)

In fact, one analysis estimates you’re more than 19,000 times more likely to be struck by lightning than win the Powerball jackpot.

How to play Powerball

Powerball tickets cost $2 per play and are sold in 45 states, Washington, DC, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Players select five white ball numbers from 1 to 69 and one red Powerball number from 1 to 26. For an additional $1, players can add Power Play, which multiplies most non-jackpot prizes.

Anyone who meets the legal age requirement where tickets are sold can purchase a ticket, regardless of U.S. citizenship or residency status.

For now, the jackpot keeps climbing.

On Monday night, players across the country will once again try to turn a $2 ticket into $905 million, chasing one of the largest lottery prizes ever up for grabs.
