The current Powerball jackpot is approaching nearly 1 Billion Dollars! According to ABC Newx, “The Powerball jackpot has continued its summer surge, reaching an estimated $856 million ahead of Saturday night’s drawing. The jackpot is now the eighth largest jackpots in game history.”

Believe it or not, about two out of every three adults in New Jersey have played the lottery at some point. That’s why you always see someone grabbing a Powerball, Mega Millions, scratch-off, or Pick-3 ticket at the local convenience store.

When the jackpot gets huge, it seems like everyone wants to take a shot. Sure, the odds are long, but for a couple of bucks, it’s fun to dream about what life would be like if your numbers came up.
