Postcode Lottery winners this week in Newcastle, Northumberland and Sunderland

The six North East postcodes to scoop £1,000 prizes on the Postcode Lottery this week

People living in five areas of the North East have won a chunk of money on the Postcode Lottery. Bedlington, Cramlington, Morpeth, Sunderland and Newcastle were the areas where players have won a £1,000 prize this week.

The winning areas were picked out between Saturday, May 9 and Friday, May 15. On May 10, players living in the NE61 1SH area of Morpeth, Northumberland, were selected as winners.

On May 12, players living in the NE5 4LT area of Newcastle scooped a cash sum. Then, there were two winners across two consecutive days on May 13-14 in Sunderland in the SR6 7RB and SR5 5RZ areas.

And on Friday, two postcodes in Northumberland have both won together. NE23 8FG in Cramlington and NE22 5QD in Bedlington both won prizes on their streets.

The People’s Postcode Lottery, which raises money for charity through its subscriptions, unveils daily prizes for postcodes across the country. A minimum of 33% from each ticket goes to charity.

Players have raised more than £950 million for over 9,000 charities and good causes since 2005.

The full list of winners from May 9 to May 15 is below:

  • NE22 5QD, Bedlington – £1000
  • NE23 8FG, Cramlington – £1000
  • SR5 5RZ, Sunderland – £1000
  • SR6 7RB, Sunderland – £1000
  • NE5 4LT, Newcastle upon Tyne – £1000
  • NE61 1SH, Morpeth – £1000
