Postcode Lottery players in Lincolnshire town to share £12.3m prize

A special event is being held for winners of the whopping prize pot in Sutton-on-Sea

Postcode Lottery players in part of a Lincolnshire seaside town are to to receive a share of a whopping £12.3-million prize. Hundreds of people in Sutton-on-Sea will be celebrating after the LN12 2 postcode sector in the town was drawn for a bumper prize pot.

Ticketholders will find out how much they’ve won at a special event this Saturday with winners set to receive invitations from Tuesday. The two-hour winner celebration will take place at King George V Playing Fields, the home of Sutton Rovers Football Club.

Though players can expect to bag cheques of at least £2,000, the full winning postcode will also be revealed at the event. Anyone playing with this specific postcode will snag the largest cash prizes.

Postcode Lottery ambassadors Matt Johnson, Judie McCourt and Danyl Johnson will be at the event to reveal cheques and celebrate with winners. Matt said: “I’m thrilled to be heading to the seaside again to celebrate a multi-million-pound Postcode Lottery prize. It’s set to be a fabulous day for hundreds of neighbours, and the excitement is really building. Saturday can’t come soon enough!”

Postcode Lottery says ticketholders across the country have helped raise more than £1.7 billion for thousands of charities simply by playing. One of those charities, Young Lives vs Cancer, has received more than £24 million in funding. They provide vital emotional, practical, financial and clinical support to young cancer patients and their families.

Meanwhile, in recent years, Acts Trust has received £120,000 thanks to players. Based in Lincoln, the charity’s mission is to empower people to end poverty. The trust runs several vital community services, including a foodbank, community grocery and community cafés.
